My Own Rune Poem
Through the course of study I have seized upon these interpretational findings and present them here: the one leading to the next - to the next - to the next - each in succession; this I do in the hopes of stirring others to seek within and form their own meditational rune poem to help them progress true in the Northern Tradition and Lore:
FEHU:
Adhumla the white cow with gilded horns
opening the fertile year,
release your vital energies to me.
URUZ:
Danger and force I willingly face,
triumphantly purged of fear,
awaiting my orlog of Wyrd.
THURISAZ:
To go beyond where you have yet to begin,
you must first find true balance,
check attitude and clarity of intentions.
ANSUZ:
Divine power, divine grace, seek the All,
open knowledge and speech in every way,
all-ways expecting the unexpected.
RAIDHO:
Travel the Worlds-All-Wide we must,
knowing ones own natural limits,
rhythm, proportion, appropriate acts lead the way.
KENAZ:
Guidance and confidence together,
all-ways create a balance of Light,
give up the old to receive anew.
GEBO:
Balance & charity ~ gift demanding gift;
vows kept pure ~ falsehoods re-payed true,
surrendering to the All.
WUNJO:
Positive thought ~ positive Results
remain in harmony with events,
better then are transformations understood.
HAGALAZ:
Fear and hail my enemies thru and true,
realization of changes is mere invention,
with true focus and pure control I shall not fail.
NAUTHIZ:
To strive against orlog strengthens friction,
call forth willingness without self-judgment,
all is restored with a smile and a laugh.
ISA:
Ego-mania negates the Fire of Energy,
listen to the Fylgja innermost,
as gestation begets beauty within All.
JERA:
Patience tends to compliment Time,
as completion brings beneficial outcomes,
though not in ways we expect.
EIHWAZ:
To create something from nothing,
perceive your illusionary limitations,
thus you sacrifice the self to the Self.
PERTHO:
Chance to bring forth that witch is hidden,
freely enter the womb of the Great Goddess,
delightful in the moderate awareness of Wyrd.
ALGIZ:
Our Bifrost of Yggdrasil is our hvel,
by perceiving the All nothing is unobtainable,
if we but strengthen our hamingja.
SOWULO:
Seek the guiding beacon of Sunna,
to consciously actualize true humility,
thus may we attain personal transcendent salvation.
TEIWAZ:
Steadily examine egotistical mental paralysis,
to realign with justified victory and success,
direct towards open space of Cosmic World Order.
BERKANA:
Verily what is yours shall stay yours,
creative evolution rules the birth,
seek Mother Gaia for embodiment of manifestation.
EHWAZ:
Moral efforts adjust various situations,
good luck, shared projects, teamwork loyal,
now is the time to ride upon the Worlds-All-Wide.
MANNAZ:
Strengthen thyself to eliminate bad habits,
to complete tasks because it needs be so,
look upon awareness with child-like eyes of the mind.
LAGUZ:
Initiatory change leads towards unseen progress,
guidance from within merges with wisdom of instinct,
becoming the ever-changing flow of existence in Nature.
INGUZ:
To free thyself from unwanted influences,
overcome all illusions and mental illnesses,
begin to understand the natural environment.
OTHILA:
Disconnect, be empty, and not know,
awaken the slumbering dragon of ancestral might,
realign now with the wisdom of your kinfylgja.
DAGAZ:
Complete transformational change in attitude,
moving you easily towards Cosmic Consciousness,
where the supreme mystery of existence hides.
