MYSTICAL PONDERINGS complete transformational change in attitude, moving you easily towards Cosmic Consciousness, where the supreme mystery of existence hides. Referring, in a sense, to time, Dagaz is a rune of bold, direct, transformational change. Encouraging completion by setting and defining limits, this stave can banish a hostile environ so that one may move more easily in the direction of one's desires, to thereby discover the Key of Human Existance when the emotional goal of the working is manifest into reality, not unlike the sudden, infinitely brilliant illumination of Dawn from out of darkest Night. It is at this point where language utterly fails and the clear vision of Spirit alone allows one to transmute and disolve every single opposing polarity by the force of Will alone, thus changing hate into love, scarcity into plenty, cold into warmth, etc. et al. This concept is quite similar, in fact, to the quick, bursting illumination of blinding inspirational wisdom. This stave expresses the utter totality of the awakening awareness of Cosmic Consiousness within one's upward evolutionary progress. Thereby revealing unt the Seeker both higher consciousness and a sense of being on all levels, which is known to denote the ending of one cyclic point and the beginning of another. This rune has been used for the mystical symbolism of the bold change of Light since before prehistoric times.
